About My Contractor Broker

My Contractor Broker was created to solve a problem that still affects thousands of contractors today. Lenders continue to assess UK contract mortgages using criteria designed for permanent employees, which often leads to unnecessary declines or restricted borrowing.

Our founder, Andy McBride, had previously worked as a management consultant on a contract basis. The business was built on the first-hand experience of those challenges. Since 2008, we’ve overseen thousands of contractor mortgage applications, all with the same objective: ensuring contractors, freelancers, and locums are not penalised for working in an entrepreneurial way.
